A-T provides mics for NBC's coverage of Beijing Olympic Games
Audio-Technica has been selected to provide microphones to NBC during the network’s coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics from Beijing, China, August 8-24. The announcement was made by Bob Dixon, Director of Sound Design, NBC Olympics, and Dan Montecalvo, Audio-Technica Broadcast Marketing Manager.
NBC is using several Audio-Technica microphones, headphones and related products for their broadcasts. Notable models include the AT4050 Multi-pattern Condenser Microphone, which provides the discrete 5.1 audio bed from the venues for surround sound broadcast, and BP4027 Stereo Shotgun Microphones set to the XY mode, which act as primary camera mics. Other models include the AT825 OnePoint® X/Y Stereo Field Recording Microphone and the AT892 MicroSet® Omnidirectional Condenser Headworn Microphone.
